The mandate of the Traffic Advisory Committee (TAC) is to make recommendations to Council and the City Manager regarding issues and opportunities in relation to the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians within the City.

Board Information

The TAC fulfils its mandate by regularly reviewing evidence, data and reports in the areas of traffic safety and efficiency soliciting information from knowledgeable parties on areas of concern in the fields of traffic safety and efficiency. Evaluating the regulation and management tools used to improve traffic safety and efficiency in other cities and jurisdictions. Providing reports and recommendations to Council and the City Manager

The TAC is comprised of: two Councillors, appointed by Council, the General Manager of  Infrastructure and Planning, the Director of Engineering, the Director of Public Services, the Manager of Enforcement Services, one representative appointed by the Leduc and District Royal Canadian Mounted Police detachment, and any other person the City Manager considers appropriate.

Members of the public are welcome to request to speak during the public commentary portion of a TAC meeting, or can request to attend a TAC meeting as an observer. Requests should be submitted to engineering@leduc.ca at least one week prior to TAC meetings.
