Assessment Review Boards consist of a Local Assessment Review Board (LARB) and a Composite Assessment Review Board (CARB), both boards are quasi-judicial and have jurisdiction to deal with complaints arising from the assessment of properties.  All members of an Assessment Review Board must successfully complete a training program set or approved by the Minister of Alberta Municipal Affairs.  The City of Leduc will disburse the cost of the 3-4 day training program.  As this is a quasi-judicial board, members are compensated for attending hearings.
